Here you will find lots of information about being in Year 3.
Reading
Please continue to share the love of books with your child. Encourage them to read/share books at least 5 times per week. This can be recorded in the Reading Record. Reads will be counted as they are sent in on THURSDAY. A maximum of one read per day can be counted.
Reading should be a delightful experience and we encourage you to revisit and re-read favourite books and stories.
Homework in Year 3
Each week the children will be set homework.
- Please aim to read five times a week. his really helps children to practise their reading skills
- As part of the 5 reads a week, two should be using our Reading Plus APP or Lexia APP (depending on which APP the children have been assigned.
- Each half term home-learning will be assigned in connection to the main topic (History, Geography, Religious Education, Art, Design and Technology) or Science recall activity. Knowledge Organisers will be provided to aid the completion of the learning challenges.
- Children all have a TT Rock Stars account. This game style platform encourages children to learn to recall times tables in a fun way. We would love it if children can practise at home whenever they have a little spare time.
Homework will be sent home on Friday, to be submitted by the following Thursday please. Homework is a consolidation of what we have been learning in the week. Please share on Dojo anything else that you would like to share. Please use pencil and remember our presentation expectations of ourselves. We look forward to seeing your amazing work!
